    Tips on Operation

    The MB980 motion sensor LED ceiling light has a photocell inside that activates the LED when it is somewhat dark to conserve battery life. This is often referred to as a "dusk-to-dawn" sensor because if it is used outdoors, it will start to work early in the evening through to the morning when it starts to get light out. When installed indoors the MB980 should be installed in a space that is fairly dark. It does not have to be complete darkness as the light sensor will enable the light if the detected light level is low (with a light intensity below about 3.5 lux at the light).

    To test the MB980 before installation or at any time, it's recommended to put fresh batteries in and take it into a dark room. Leave the room to avoid your motion retriggering it. The light should shut off after a minute or two if the light is working properly (the motion sensor may need time to settle immediately after putting the batteries in). When you walk into the room, the motion sensor should trigger turning the light on.

    Seldom do new apartments come with enough lighting built-in. If you need a bit more light in certain corners of your home, the Mr. Beams motion sensing LEDs are a great solution.

    Mr. Beams is a line of super-convenient wall lights that can light up pretty much any portion of your house. They're small, cheap, and all you need to do is load up some batteries and stick 'em on your wall. The moment you walk into the room or open that closet door, they'll light it up for you (for reference, the closet photo on the left is illuminated only by the motion sensing light on the wall). When you leave, they'll turn right off like that light in your refrigerator supposedly does, so you don't need to worry about leaving any lights on.
