Technology Behind Mr. Beams Lighting
Mr. Beams is the inventor of the Brightest Energy-Efficient LED Lights that can be Attached Anywhere. Our LED lights can be mounted anywhere indoors or outdoors by almost anyone in minutes. Most Mr. Beams' products you are able to light up an area with an annual operating cost under four dollars.
We created our Wireless LED Lights by utilizing light-emitting diodes (LEDs) with our expertise in lighting, battery management and controls (motion sensing and radio frequency). The result is an energy-efficient cure for many of the darkness issues inside and outside your home.
Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs)
LEDs are more efficient source of light compared to incandescent bulbs. LEDs use almost one tenth the amount of energy an incandescent bulb uses. For more information click her for “About LEDs.”
Motion Sensing
A pyroelectric infrared (PIR) motion sensor is mounted on many of our products to detect motion. When a lighting product detects motion, it will turn on automatically and shut-off after the allotted time period if no more motion is detected. For example: the Mr. Beams Closet Light activates as soon as motion is detected. The light resets itself for two minutes every time it detects motion. If two minutes of illumination pass without motion, the light turns off to conserve battery life. The detection area is more sensitive in certain directions, but is never less than 4 feet in any direction. No On/Off switch is required - the light is always sensing for motion.
Radio Frequency (RF)
Future Mr. Beams lighting products will be available with Radio Frequency (RF) controls. Products with an RF feature will allow you to turn them on and off using a remote that looks much like your home light switch. This wireless switch/remote sends a radio signal to your lighting product, turning it on or off. A wireless light can be mounted anywhere on your wall using provided double-sided tape or screws.
Auto Shut-Off
All Mr. Beams lights are set with an Auto Shut-Off feature to prevent battery drain. The Auto Shut-Off timer varies by product: Sconces have longer timers, while the Closet Light with Motion Sensor shuts off after two minutes of no motion.
Wireless & Battery Powered => Attach Anywhere
All Mr. Beams lighting products are battery powered. Battery Powered means our lighting products use batteries as an energy source so there is no wiring, no calling an electrician for installation, and no occupying an outlet. Mr. Beams products can essentially be mounted anywhere inside or outside with the provided double stick tape or screws. With a $4.00 annual operating cost for most Mr. Beams wireless lighting to cover replacement batteries with normal use, Mr. Beams can incredibly decrease your home's electricity consumption. Mr. Beams wireless lighting products are compatible with most rechargeable batteries.
