Q. I put the batteries in and it won’t turn on?

1. Make sure you are testing the unit in complete darkness.  The products are photo-sensitive and motion sensitive.  This means they only work in complete darkness and when motion is sensed. Try testing the product in a dark room like a large closet or bathroom.  Please make sure your environment is safe and free of obstacles before testing.  Once in complete darkness, wave your hand in front of the unit and it should turn on brightly.

2. Make sure your batteries are brand new alkaline batteries required for the unit, installed correctly, and the battery latch is making the correct connections.


Q. The light it keeps turning on and off?

1. Make sure your batteries are fresh.  If you use the product frequently, use may need to replace the batteries sooner than one year.  Drained batteries are the primary cause for this happening.

2. Many products have a motion detection range of 9 to 35 feet.  Please make sure no objects, animals, heater vents, or persons are within that range to set off the unit.


Q. It won’t detect motion?

1. The unit will not detect motion through glass.  The products detect motion by sensing changes in heat.  The light fixtures will not detect your motion through a pane of glass.

2. Check the batteries and make sure they are new and fresh.  Drained batteries can affect the product’s ability to sense motion.


Q. I just tested the light and it won't shut-off?

1. The lights are motion sensitive.  So even if you test it in the dark, and now you are standing a lit room with the product, as long as it sense motion it will keep retarting the auto-off timer.  Try setting the unit on a stationary surface facing a wall or other stationary surface.  Wait for the time limit to expire and the light should turn off automatically.  Some lights have a 180 degree motion sensing range, so please make sure the you standing out the of the motion detection range when testing the auto-off settings.  


Q. I am having problems with the checkout system.

1. Make sure the billing address matches the billing address for the credit card you are using.  The billing address and the shipping address do not need to be the same, but the billing address needs to match the billing address of the card you are using.

2. We only can process orders to the United States and Canada.  If you are trying to submit an order outside these locations, please contact us.

3. Call us or email us if the problem persists.  We will be happy to process the order over the phone or walk you through the process.


Return Policy

Mr Beams makes products that work well and provide useful light. If for some reason you are not completely satisfied with any Mr. Beams product, send it back to us within 30 days of receipt and include a description of the cause of the return. We will issue a full refund.
